Erectile Dysfunction and Magnesium

The range of pathologies associated with Mg deficiency include impotence (lack of NO)

It is pertinent to emphasize that magnesium promotes the synthesis of Nitric Oxide (NO), what will promptly lead to the amplification of cGMP cellular signalling, resulting in arterial dilation - as already discussed, this is the physiologic basis of penile erection.

Without magnesium, calcium will only deposit in the soft tissues and cause blockages. Magnesium acts as a calcium channel blocker and counteracts the negative effects of calcium in sustaining an erection.

Magnesium plays an important role in creating androgen, estrogen and the neurotransmitters that regular the sex drive.

Erectile cheap cialis (ED) may be an early sign or symptom of cardiovascular disease (CVD)

Erectile cialis (ED) has traditionally been considered a disease that develops in patients with advanced systemic cardiovascular disease (CVD). However, evidence is accumulating that ED may be an early manifestation of systemic atherosclerosis and may precede the development of clinically significant vascular disease in other organs.

In one study, 64% of men who presented with myocardial infarction (MI) reported ED before the onset of heart problems.

Similarly, 57% of men undergoing coronary bypass surgery reported ED prior to the operation.

Recent clinical research studies show that the presence or severity of penile vascular disease correlates with some cardiovascular risk factors. Chung et al3 found that the vasodilatory capacity of the penile vascular bed in patients with ED showed an inverse relation to the number of CVD risk factors, including the presence of diabetes.

Other investigators have reported a higher incidence of abnormal penile blood flow when the patient history includes risk factors such as previous MI, hypertension, or cigarette smoking.2,4,5
